Illinois Scannable IDs Card
The Illinois Scannable IDs card is a high-quality card made of durable and flexible material. It has both 1D and 2D barcodes on the back for easy scanning and verification. The ID expires on the holder's birthday, 4-5 years after the issue date.
To ensure security and prevent counterfeiting, the Illinois driver's license comes with several unique features. These include a Real ID star in the top right corner of the card, guilloche and micro printing throughout the license, and a driver's license number encoded with the first letter of the last name and 11 random digits after.
Additionally, the ID has a three-color OVD hologram on the front that shifts at different angles, displaying the Chicago skyline and the words "ILLINOIS" and "LAND OF LINCOLN". The front of the card also features UV printing in the shape of a top hat on the head of Lincoln, as well as a guilloche pattern.
On the back of the card, the holder's ghost image and date of birth are printed in UV ink, and there are laser perforations in the shape of the state above the ghost picture. These security features make the Illinois Scannable IDs difficult to replicate, ensuring the holder's safety and peace of mind.

Illinois has a vibrant drinking culture, with 21% of residents admitting to heavy drinking in the past month and an average of 7 drinks consumed on those occasions. The state's drinking laws are relatively lenient, allowing alcohol sales from 9 am to 2 am on weekdays and from 9 am to 2 am on weekends. However, it's important to note that carrying an open container of alcohol in public places can result in a fine, and even having an open beer or wine bottle in your car can lead to arrest, regardless of whether you've consumed any alcohol. So, it's best to avoid "roadies" and plan your drinking accordingly. Additionally, Illinois is home to great festivals and bars, such as the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade, where drinking and celebration are common sights.
History of drinking in Illinois:
After 1933 and the end of prohibition, there was an interesting law in Illinois prohibiting sale based on age. Males had to be 21 to drink. However, females only had to be 18. The idea behind this fascinating law was that women matured faster than men, and typically were marrying earlier than men. This was ultimately overturned in the early 60s to limit both genders to 21 and older. After the passage of the 26th amendment, which lowered the legal voting age from 21 to 18, Illinois again investigated their minimum drinking age. In the 80s, Illinois decided to allow those 19 years and older to purchase alcohol once again. However, this was once more overturned by the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, which leveraged highway funding to force all 50 states into increasing their drinking age to 21. Needless to say, Illinois has had quite an uncertainty when it comes to alcohol.
